Trent Johnson is a writer and producer.
In 2026, Trent produced the two-part documentary series WILD BOYS: STRANGERS IN TOWN for Paramount+ as well as the documentary feature MYSPACE, which premiered at HotDocs.
Prior to that, Trent produced the two-part documentary series SOUTHERN FRIED LIES in 2025, as well as the two-part documentary series I LOVE YOU, YOU HATE ME, both of which premiered on Peacock.
Before producing documentaries, Trent was SVP of Development for Scout Productions, where he developed award-winning series for networks and streaming platforms including Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Disney+, truTV, VH1, PBS, and even Quibi.
Trent is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago, a resident of Los Angeles, and a reader of books.
